Dayle Dillon, DVM

Dr. Dillon joined the SportsVet team as an associate veterinarian in 2015. A resident of central Illinois, she developed a love for animals while working with horses and numerous other animals on her family's farm. Upon graduation from GCMS High School, she attended North Park University in Chicago, Illinois where she played volleyball and softball while working towards degrees in Secondary Education and Biology.

Dr. Dillon graduated from University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine as a member of the first class in a newly developed curriculum which encouraged a strong focus on clinical experience as well as traditional classroom learning. This additional clinical experience is what allowed her to develop a passion for canine rehabilitation, which only grew as she spent much of her free time volunteering in the rehab ward at school. Dr. Dillon began her veterinary career at a small animal practice in Decatur, IL. gaining experience in medicine and surgery by providing both general and on-call emergency care. During her time at SportsVet Dr. Dillon has pursued additional training in ultrasound, and is currently in the process of obtaining her license as a Certified Canine Rehab Practitioner. Her additional interests include both surgery and wound management/repair. Dr. Dillon has two pets of her own; Trooper, a Miniature Dachshund, and Gracie, an Australian Cattle Dog. Outside of the veterinary clinic, Dr. Dillon is an avid triathlete, and enjoys being outdoors with her pets and husband.
